Original quality

BasePic does not re-compress your video. Viewers get exactly the file you uploaded, so a 4K phone video stays 4K.

Plays in the browser

MP4, MOV and WebM videos play on the video page on phones and computers. If a browser can’t play a format, viewers get a Download button instead.

Location removed

Phones save the place where a video was filmed inside the file. BasePic removes that location before the video goes online.

How big can a video be?

Up to 2 GB per video, and up to 2 GB in total per day.

Will my video lose quality?

No. BasePic keeps the original file — it is not re-encoded or shrunk.

Does it work with iPhone videos?

Yes. MOV videos from iPhone are saved as MP4 — the same video, not re-encoded — so they play in more places.

Who can watch my video?

Only people you send the link to. Video pages are not listed on BasePic and are hidden from search engines.
