NEET (UG) 2026 rules
From the NTA Information Bulletin NEET (UG) 2026: passport size photo in color or black & white, 80 % of the face (without mask) visible including the ears, white background, JPG/JPEG 10–200 KB. Signature JPG/JPEG 10–100 KB. Left and right hand fingers and thumb impressions in JPG/JPEG. A live photo is also taken during the form.
Finger and thumb impressions
The bulletin gives two ranges for this file: 10–200 KB in the upload list and 50–300 KB in the instructions a page later. BasePic keeps it between 50 and 200 KB, which fits both.
Postcard size photo
In 2026 the postcard size (4" × 6") photo was not uploaded; NTA asked candidates to keep 4 to 6 printed postcard size color photos with a white background. NEET 2025 had asked for an upload.
What BasePic does

What is the NEET photo size in KB?
10 KB to 200 KB, JPG or JPEG (NEET UG 2026).
What is the NEET signature size?
10 KB to 100 KB, JPG or JPEG. In NEET 2025 the limit was 10–50 KB.
Do I upload a postcard size photo for NEET?
Not in 2026: you keep printed postcard size photos. NEET 2025 asked for an upload.
Can the NEET photo be black and white?
Yes. The 2026 bulletin allows a color or a black & white photo.
Is there a NEET 2027 bulletin?
Not yet when we checked (Oct 23, 2026). Check the photo rules again when it comes out.
