The rules, in plain words.

Your files

You keep all rights to what you upload. You give BasePic only the permission it needs to store your files, make previews and smaller copies, and show them to people who have the link.

Upload only files you have the right to share.

Not allowed

• anything illegal, including child sexual abuse material — we remove it and report it to the authorities;
• content that infringes someone else’s copyright or privacy;
• threats, harassment, or intimate images shared without consent;
• malware, phishing pages and programs — programs and scripts are blocked, even inside ZIP files;
• using BasePic to send spam, or trying to get around its limits.

Downloads from other sites

Download photo, video and file work only with public links. Download only what you have the right to use, and follow the terms of the site you download from. Downloaded files are deleted from BasePic after one hour.

Copyright notices

If a file on BasePic infringes your copyright, send a notice to abuse@basepic.com with: the BasePic link, the work it copies, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized, a statement that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or act for the owner, and your signature.

We remove files that are reported correctly and close access for people who infringe repeatedly.

Reporting a file

Use Report on the file’s page, or write to abuse@basepic.com. We review reports and remove files that break these terms. We may remove any file or block access to BasePic when we believe it is needed to protect people or the service.

Limits

Each file can be up to 2 GB, and each visitor can upload up to 2 GB per day. Limits can change to keep BasePic fast and fair for everyone.

No warranty

BasePic is free and provided “as is”. We work to keep it running and your files safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or that files will never be lost. Keep your own copy of anything important.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Metoda LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from the use of BasePic.

Law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, United States. If they change, the new version is posted on this page with a new date.
