BasePic

Turn an image into a URL.
In seconds.

Upload a photo and get a short link to share, plus a direct link to the image file.

or drag and drop files anywhere on this page · paste an image with Ctrl+V

How it works

  1. Tap Upload photo

Pick one photo or many — JPG, PNG, HEIC, WebP, GIF or AVIF.

  2. Copy your link

The short link is copied for you as soon as the upload finishes.

  3. Paste it anywhere

In a text, an email, a chat, a forum or a website. Anyone with the link can see the photo.

Two links for every image

The short link, like basepic.com/vqSvesFU, opens a page with the photo, a Download button and a preview card in iMessage, WhatsApp and Slack. The long link ends with the file name, like basepic.com/vqSvesFU/beach.jpg, and points straight to the image itself — use it in HTML, Markdown, forums and anywhere that needs a direct image URL.

Private by default

Your images are not listed anywhere on BasePic, and their pages are hidden from search engines. Only people you send the link to can see them. GPS location is removed from photos before they go online, and you can delete a photo from its page at any time.

No account, no watermark

BasePic is free. There is nothing to sign up for, images keep their original quality and size, and each file can be up to 2 GB.

Image to URL: questions

How do I convert an image to a URL?

Tap Upload photo, pick the image and wait a moment. BasePic shows a short link and a long link, and copies the short link for you.

Can I use the link in HTML or Markdown?

Yes. Use the long link — it is the image file itself. For example <img src="https://basepic.com/vqSvesFU/photo.jpg"> or ![photo](https://basepic.com/vqSvesFU/photo.jpg).

Which image formats work?

JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF (animated too), AVIF, HEIC from iPhone, TIFF and RAW files from cameras. HEIC photos are turned into JPG so they open everywhere.

How long does the link work?

BasePic does not set an expiry date. The link keeps working until you delete the image, or until it is removed for breaking the rules.

Is it really free?

Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no fee.
