How it works
- Upload your video
Tap Upload video and pick an MP4, MOV, WebM or another video, up to 2 GB.
- Check the size
The video editor opens on Size with 25 MB already picked. You can trim or crop the video first, or pick another size.
- Save and download
Tap Save & get link. The smaller video gets its own link and a Download button.
For email attachments
Many email services cap attachments at about 25 MB per message, and a minute of phone video is often more. BasePic brings the video under 25 MB. If your email still refuses it, pick a smaller size such as 20 MB.
How long a video fits in 25 MB
For a 1080p phone video at 30 frames per second with sound, BasePic keeps 1080p for up to 48 seconds, 720p up to 1 min 45 s, 540p up to 3 min 2 s, 480p up to 3 min 45 s and 360p up to 6 min 32 s. Longer videos, up to 15 minutes, get 240p.
Never over 25 MB
BasePic leaves 6 % of the room for the MP4 file itself, then measures the saved video. If it is still too big, it makes it again with less data per second. If even that does not fit, you get a message instead of a file that is too big.
Or send a link
A link fits in any email. Upload the original video here and paste its short link into the message: it plays in the browser, in full quality, and works for videos up to 2 GB.
