How it works

Resize to an exact file size

Many forms and job sites only accept photos under 100 KB or 200 KB. Pick File size and BasePic finds the best quality that still fits under the limit.

The original stays safe

How do I resize a photo to 100 KB?

Upload the photo, choose File size in the Resize panel and pick 100 KB. Then tap Save & get link and download the new photo.

Will resizing lower the quality?

A smaller file always holds less detail, but BasePic keeps the highest quality that fits the size you pick.

What is a megapixel?

One million pixels. A 12 MP phone photo is about 4000 × 3000 pixels; 2 MP is about 1600 × 1200.

What size is a LinkedIn banner?

A LinkedIn profile banner is 1584 × 396 pixels and a profile photo 400 × 400. Upload the photo, open Resize, choose Social and tap Banner under LinkedIn.

What size is a Facebook cover or post?

Use 1640 × 624 pixels for a page cover and 1200 × 630 for a post with a link. Both are one tap under Facebook in Resize → Social.

Can I also rotate or crop?

Yes. Rotate, Flip, B&W, Sepia, Blur and Crop are right on the photo card. Edit adds text, shapes, layers, more filters and Undo.

Which photos can I resize?

JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and AVIF photos, and HEIC photos from iPhone.
