BasePic

Trim a video.
Keep only the part you want.

Drag the start and the end on the timeline, then save — the original stays as it was.

or drag and drop files anywhere on this page · paste an image with Ctrl+V

How it works

  1. Upload a video

Tap Upload video and pick the video.

  2. Pick start and end

The editor opens on Trim. Drag the white handles, or play and tap Start here and End here.

  3. Save

Tap Save & get link. The trimmed video gets its own link and a Download button.

Exact to the frame

When you move the start, the video is re-encoded so it begins exactly where you chose. When you only cut the end, it is copied without re-encoding — quick, and with no loss of quality.

Trim and more

In the same editor you can crop for Reels and TikTok, rotate, change the speed, mute, compress to a file size or save a GIF.

Length

An edited video can be up to 15 minutes long. Cutting only the end works on longer videos too.

Trim video: questions

How do I trim a video?

Upload it, drag the start and end handles on the timeline and tap Save & get link.

Can I cut out the middle?

BasePic keeps one part, from the start handle to the end handle. To remove a part in the middle, save the two parts separately.

Does trimming lower the quality?

Cutting only the end doesn’t. Moving the start re-encodes the video at good quality.

Which videos work?

Videos your browser can play — MP4, MOV and WebM in most browsers.
