IBPS sizes (PO/MT-XVI and Clerk CSA-XVI)
Photo: 200 × 230 pixels (preferred), 20–50 KB. Signature: 140 × 60 pixels (preferred), 10–20 KB. Left thumb impression: 240 × 240 pixels at 200 DPI (3 × 3 cm), 20–50 KB. Handwritten declaration: 800 × 400 pixels at 200 DPI (10 × 5 cm), 50–100 KB. All JPG/JPEG.
What BasePic does
Each button crops to the shape of that size, makes the preferred pixel size and saves a JPG inside the KB range. A small image holds few bytes: if even the highest quality stays under the minimum, BasePic makes the image larger in the same shape until it reaches the minimum, and shows you the size it made.
Photo, signature and thumb
Photo: in color, light (preferably white) background; glasses are fine without reflections, caps, hats and dark glasses are not. Signature: black ink on white paper, not in capital letters. Thumb impression: black or blue ink on white paper. A live photo is also taken during registration.
The declaration
Write it in English, in your own handwriting, not in capital letters, with black ink on white paper: “I, (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
IBPS photo & signature: questions
What is the IBPS photo size?
200 × 230 pixels (preferred), 20–50 KB, JPG/JPEG.
What is the IBPS signature size?
140 × 60 pixels (preferred), 10–20 KB, black ink on white paper.
What is the IBPS left thumb impression size?
240 × 240 pixels at 200 DPI (3 × 3 cm), 20–50 KB.
What is the IBPS handwritten declaration size?
800 × 400 pixels at 200 DPI (10 × 5 cm), 50–100 KB.
Why is my file larger than 200 × 230 or 140 × 60?
At those sizes a JPG is often under 20 KB or 10 KB even at the highest quality. IBPS gives the pixel size as preferred and the KB range as the limit, so BasePic keeps the KB range and makes the image larger in the same shape.
