How it works
- Upload your photo
A recent color photo against a plain white background, eyes open — or a photo of your signature sheet. Tap Upload photo.
- Fill the box with your face
Resize opens on UPSC with Photo picked. Drag the corners so your face covers at least 3/4 of the box. For the signature tap Signature (3 times).
- Save and download
Tap Save & get link, then Download. The files are named photo.jpg and signature.jpg, as UPSC asks.
The UPSC rules
From the instructions in UPSC’s online application (read on Oct 23, 2026): photo JPG/JPEG, 20–200 KB, file name photo, face covering at least 75 % (3/4) of the photo, plain white background. Signature JPG/JPEG, 20–100 KB, height and width each between 350 and 500 pixels, file name signature.
The triple signature
Sign three times, one below the other, with black ink on plain white unruled paper, and upload the three as one image. Signature (3 times) makes it 400 × 500 pixels, inside the 350–500 rule.
What BasePic does
Photo: crops to 3:4, makes it 600 × 800 pixels and saves a JPG between 20 and 200 KB named photo.jpg. UPSC sets no pixel size for the photo — 600 × 800 is BasePic’s choice. Signature: 400 × 500 pixels, 20–100 KB, named signature.jpg.
Live photo
UPSC also captures a live photo while you fill in the form, without a cap, mask or dark glasses. That one is not uploaded from a file.
