What you get

  1. Drag & drop

Drop photos, videos, ZIPs or PDFs on the window — up to 2 GB each, several at once.

  2. Ctrl+V

Took a screenshot? Paste it. The app uploads it as PNG and copies the link.

  3. Your link, your way

Choose whether the short link (page with preview) or the direct link to the file is copied. Both are always listed.

  4. Delete later

The app keeps your uploads and their delete keys on your computer only. One click deletes a file from BasePic.

  5. Auto-delete

Keep files forever, or set them to disappear after 1 day, 7 days, 30 days or 1 year.

Install basepic.com as an app

Chrome, Edge and Brave can install this website as an app: it opens in its own window, sits in the Start menu and shows up in “Open with” for images and videos. Windows app questions

What does the Windows app do?

It uploads files to BasePic from your desktop: drag them onto the window, choose them, or paste a screenshot with Ctrl+V. Each file gets a short link and a direct link; the one you prefer is copied to the clipboard as soon as the upload finishes.

Do I need an account?

No. The app works without any sign-up. It keeps a local list of your uploads with their delete keys, so you can delete a file later from the app.

Windows says the app is from an unknown publisher.

The app is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may show a warning on first start. Click More info → Run anyway. The program is open: its source is published next to the download.

Can I install BasePic without downloading anything?

Yes. In Chrome or Edge open basepic.com and use Install BasePic (the icon in the address bar or the button on this page). You get a window of its own, a Start menu entry and “Open with BasePic” for images and videos. This also works on Mac, Linux and Android.

Where do the files go?

To basepic.com, under the same rules as the website: private links, no listing, no search engines, GPS location removed from photos. You can set an expiry (1 day to 1 year) or keep files forever.

Can I use ShareX or another screenshot tool instead?

Yes — a ready ShareX custom uploader is on the ShareX page. Any tool that can POST a file to a URL can use the BasePic API.
